Sign of the times

The granite base for a new entrance sign at the North Springfield Industrial Park was set in place today, entombing a time capsule of items not to be uncovered again until the year 2114.

The new sign will feature the industrial park's new name -- Precision Park.  A public ceremony to dedicate the new sign and name will take place sometime in July.

Businesses located in the park have each contributed $700 to cover the costs of the new sign, its base and installation.
