Gunshot death on Valley Street

Shortly before 11 a.m. today, members of the Springfield Police Department responded to 78 Valley Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 19 year old woman was deceased within the house. It appears that she died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

While investigating this untimely death, officers discovered the presence of a green leafy substance, suspected of being marijuana in the same room. Officers applied for a search warrant and the warrant was subsequently granted. Several items suspected of being marijuana and paraphernalia were seized within the house.

    1. The Reefer Madness mentality...part and parcel of the Simpsonesque mindset prevalent in this town that also believes the shops are coming back.
