SPRINGFIELD, Vt. -
Police say they found two men in a car with more than 1,000 bags of heroin.
Vermont state police say they stopped Walter Emery, 22, of Royalton, and Alex Lacasse, 23, of Vershire, on Interstate 91 in Springfield. In the car, investigators say they found 1,100 bags of heroin with a street value in Vermont of about $27,000.
Both men face numerous drug and trafficking charges. They're due n court Wednesday.
Clearly Vermont's sentencing guidelines are not a deterrent. Guess the liberals in Montpelier don't see it as a serious issue.
