First Annual Run Hard 5K Toonerville Trail Run & Walk

The All-4-One outside of school program is proud to announce the First Annual Run Hard 5K Toonerville Trail Run & Walk in Springfield, Vermont on Saturday, May 30 at 9 am to support the Run Hard character-based student running program.

This event is a celebration of the students’ hard work in their Run Hard running club over the spring and all proceeds from the 5K will support the Run Hard program. Cost to register pre-race day is $15, $20 on race day. Run Hard is an 8 week long character based running program for boys in grades 2-5. Twice a week coaches lead students in running curriculum focused around character building themes. At the end of the program students will participate in the celebratory 5k community race in Springfield.

“Each week [of the program] runners focus on core lessons including: peer pressure, perseverance, wise choices, work ethic, leadership, teamwork, honesty, respect and honor. Teamwork is emphasized throughout lessons and workouts. The race is about more than speed and endurance. The second- through 8th-grade participants in this race are running to demonstrate their commitment to healthy lifestyles and good decision-making skills” -Jesse Harmon, Founder of Run Hard.

Participants will park at the SRDC (Springfield Regional Development Corporation parking lot: 290 Clinton St, Springfield VT 05156). At 8:3 0 am participants will be bussed to a 9 am start at Hoyt’s Boat Landing. Participants will run/walk along the Black River on the Toonerville Trail to the SRDC parking lot for the finish, food, and fun! Race entry includes Run Hard water bottle and sunglasses for all and Turtle Fur hats to the first 20 participants to register!
