MR, Russell take top honors

MR’s Russell medalist
Johan Russell carded an 87 for medalist honors and helped his Mill River team to first place over Fair Haven. Otter Valley and Springfield at Rutland Country Club.
Russell was supported by teammates Ben Smith with a 90, Noah Beauchain with a 97 and Kaelob Smith’s 108.
Fair Haven, led by Caleb Larsen’s 88, finished second with a score of 392, 10 strokes behind the Minutemen. Chris Mongeur had 91, Cody Bonvouloir 100 and Luke Turner 113 for the Slaters.
Colin Nicklaw paced third-place Otter Valley which came in at 407. Nicklaw had a 93, Joe Scarborough 102, Eric Laughlin 103 and Tom Kingsley 109.
Michael Messer was the top gun for Springfield with an 88. He was supported by Conor Foulois’ 94, Tre Ayer’s 1189 and Greg Messer’s 123.
