RVTC inducts 22 students to the National Technical Honor Society

SPRINGFIELD — In a ceremony held at the River Valley Technical Center on Monday, May 18, 22 students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Director Scott Farr welcomed parents and friends. Diane Gomes, RVTC counselor and Wendy Reeves, Health Careers program instructor, were the National Technical Honor Society advisors. They led students in the candle-lighting ceremony followed by the NTHS pledge, which was led by current member Keanna Bingham. The new members inducted were Ryan Ahonen, a Black River High School sophomore enrolled in industrial trades, Rebecka DelBove, a Springfield High School sophomore enrolled in culinary arts, Amanda Ferguson, a Springfield High School sophomore enrolled in horticulture & natural resources, Nathan Godfrey, a Springfield High School senior enrolled in technology essentials, Jasmine Goings, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in technology essentials, Hunter Grace, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in industrial trades, Jon Hildreth, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in industrial trades, Geremiah Howarth, a Springfield High School enrolled in mechanical design & innovation, Kendrick Kellow, a Springfield High School senior enrolled in culinary arts, Rena Lirakis, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in business & financial services, Ian Mattson, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in culinary arts, Dana Morey, a Bellows Falls Union High School junior enrolled in culinary arts, Bridick Pollard, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in horticulture & natural resources, Zeb Reardon, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in business & financial services, Jasmin Rickets, a Green Mountain Union High School sophomore enrolled in culinary arts, Xin (Gary) Shi, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in business & financial services, Tyson Taylor, a Bellows Falls Union High School junior enrolled in industrial trades, Tyler Thomas, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in carpentry, Elliot Thompson, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in audio & video production, Benjamin Tubbs, a Springfield High School junior enrolled in carpentry; and Dylan VanGuilder, a Black River High School sophomore enrolled in horticulture & natural resources.
