Run for local office

Election petitions for the March Town Meeting vote are now available. Openings include 2 spots on the school board open and 1 on the select board.

Petition forms can be picked up at the Town Clerk's office in the town hall. You'll need to collect 30 signatures of people who are registered to vote in town. It's a great idea to collect more than 30 (as many as you can get) because there are doubling rules and also the possibility that some of your signers aren't actually registered to vote. The petitions are due back at the town hall by January 25th.

There are 2 spots on the school board open, and 1 on the select board.

Also:

  • 1 town moderator
  • 1 school district moderator
  • 3 spots for library trustees
  • 1 trustees for public funds
  • 1 cemetery commissioner
  • 1 town agent

  1. Who's spot on the selectboard is opening up? And, are they planning to run as an incumbent?

  3. There needs to be a change, it should be someone who grew up and currently lives here.
