GIRLS BASKETBALL Springfield 39, BF 34
WESTMINSTER — Bellows Falls had a 20-13 halfrime lead but could not hold it and fell to Springfield for the second time this season.
If coach Joe Goodhue wants to know where his Terriers lost this one he need look no further than the foul line. They made just two of their 16 free throws.
“We scored only two points in the third quarter” Goodhue said. “We made turnover after turnover after turnover and we missed a lot of easy shots.,”
The game left the Terriers with a 3-7 record and the Cosmos improved to 3-9.
Brooke Willey and Liz MacKenzie led the Cosmos with 11 points each. Abbe Cravinho had 21 for BF and Hannah Kelly tossed in another 10.
Springfield hosts nearby rival Fall Mountain on Thursday.
