SPRINGFIELD —If the Cosmos were planning a comeback going into the seventh down 9-5 they should have showed up in the top of the frame. Springfield walked seven and made three errors and Slater Sam Eaton hit a three-run homer to cap the 13-run inning. Kyle Weeks took the loss for Springfield. Austin Brannock picked up the win for the Slaters. Weeks did have a pair of hits for Springfield as they fall to 2-4. Springfield travels to Brattleboro on Monday.
