The Cosmos came out on top in two of them. Springfield’s Lexi Bellows defeated Nicole Bruso 6-1, 6-2 in No. 1 singles action. Springfield’s Alex Sauver was taken to the brink of her No. 2 singles match by MSJ’s Jenna Eaton before emerging victorious with a score of 6-4, 3-6 and 11-9 in a 10-point tiebreaker. MSJ’s Olivia Corbett represented the lone win for the Mounties after she defeated Katie Worth 6-4, 4-6 and 10-6 in the tiebreaker. Emilia Batista defeated MSJ’s Gabby Giancola 6-2, 4-6 and 10-8 in the tiebreaker during No. 4 singles action before Alli Worster was victorious in No. 5 action as MSJ had forfeit. In doubles action, Springfield got a 6-2, 6-1 win from Heather Morse and Josie Molito over Sophia Duffy and Ann-Leticia Blot.
