Appointments are necessary and are $20 each. Please call today to book an appointment. Coming out of retirement will be The Dancing Fool & Her SideKick. They have decided to entertain us again this year as it’s always been so much fun in the past. Join us on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 1 p.m. as we ring in the New Year with food, laughter and fun! If you would like to bring a snack to share for our New Year Party, please see the sign-up sheet at the senior center or bring something on the day of the event. The Knit Wits will be meeting on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. in the living room. They are always looking for new members so feel free to stop in. Join the Springfield Senior Center next year on a cruise to Bermuda, we will be sailing with Norwegian Cruise Lines. The date of the trip is Sept. 8 to Sept. 15. We will be leaving shipping out from Boston — the price, per person/double occupancy is as follows: Interior Cabin — $1,212.51, Ocean View Cabin — $1,557.51 or Balcony Cabin — $1,902.51. We only have a select few rooms so, if you’re interested in joining in on the cruise, please call ASAP! The prices are all inclusive, including taxes, trip insurance, transportation to and from the Springfield Senior Center and port fees. You will also be eligible for two special packages for booking on our group trip. The choices for these packages are as follows: Ultimate Beverage Package, Prepaid Service Charges, Internet Package, $50 per port shore credit (per cabin), Dining Package, $75 on-board cabin credit or 20-Photo Package. Ceramics class will also be starting up again on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017. To make up for the Monday missed because of the New Year, there will be a make-up class on Thursday, Jan. 5. The Springfield Senior Center has booked Mark Shelton, Famous Elvis Impersonator and performer, to come into the Springfield Senior Center on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 at 1 p.m. The performance is absolutely free to everyone who joins us, although, if you would like to make a donation toward future entertainment at the senior center, we will gladly accept those. Make sure not to miss this performance as it’s sure to be one of the best ones we’ve had in a while. The Springfield Senior Center will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, to observe the holiday.
