Renee Pepin, PhD is a research scientist at the Dartmouth Centers for Health and Aging and the Geisel School of Medicine; her work focuses on developing and managing interventions for older adults including mental health outreach, falls risk reduction and geriatric workforce enhancement. “I am committed to improving access to community-based services for older adults,” said Pepin. “I first became familiar with Senior Solutions through my work at the Dartmouth Centers for Health and Aging and have been consistently impressed with Senior Solutions’ commitment to delivering services to older adults, their collaboration with other professionals and their advocacy for older adults.” Christina Healy of Jamaica is a licensed Psychiatric Nursing Consultant with decades of experience in conducting patient psychotherapy and training nursing home staff. “Since I recently retired, I have much expertise and passion to bring to the community as a board member of Senior Solutions, which provides essential resources to help individuals maintain a healthy and independent life,” Healy said. Senior Solutions Executive Director Carol Stamatakis praised the addition of Pepin and Healy to the organization, noting Vermont is one of the oldest states in the nation, so agencies like Senior Solutions are increasingly important to maintaining healthy communities. “We are very pleased Renee and Chris are adding their expertise to Seniors Solutions,” Stamatakis said. “They both have an impressive track record of advocating for seniors and they bring valuable knowledge to our team in serving seniors in southeastern Vermont.” The Senior Solutions Board of Directors is a nine-member group responsible for oversight of the non-profit organization. Serving 46 communities in Windsor and Windham counties, Senior Solutions is one of five Area Agencies on Aging in Vermont. Formerly known as the Council on Aging for Southeastern Vermont, Senior Solutions has provided services to seniors, their caregivers and families for more than 40 years.
