  1. Traffic light would do that! Dislike the option of rotary in Springfield Clinton St, Main Street, South Street, Mineral St, and more: Car Accidents wearing to happened!

  2. I live on the Connecticut River Road and frequently drive thru this area. The north bound exit ramp heading towards Charlestown needs improvements too. Quite often, cars coming off the ramp do not realize there is a stop sign. I have seen a dozen accidents in this spot and have two cars pull out in front of me... fortunately, I know it is dangerous and watch for cars coming off the exit and was able to stop to avoid an accident both times. I will not be able to make the meeting, but I hope others with similar experiences speak up. Maybe SPD can provide accident stats, I bet it is very high on the repeat location list.

On another note, now that a Jersey Barrier guardrail replaced a steal post guardrail (located on the north side of the toll bridge, VT side), you can't see traffic coming over the bridge. Almost hit there too, some cars fly across the bridge. Years ago, there used to be a mirror, combined with the see thru guardrail was much better.

  3. I cannot make the meeting so I hope those in charge will read this blog.
Please make sure "Smart" lights are installed. Saves big on gas and nerves.
If all stop lights across the country were "Smart" lights billions of gallons of gas would be save. Many lights are already "Smart". I believe the ones near the plaza are.

  4. This definitely needs a set of lights. As it stands now, nobody pays attention to anything. Tractor trailers roll thru there like they own the world. People come off 91 south bound exit and hit Rt 11 still going 75. Much traffic coming and going at the park and ride, gas station, and Motel
