Elks hosting fundraiser for Alex Naccarato and family

Today is Alex Naccarato's 18th birthday. A senior at Springfield High School, Alex is bravely fighting a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and undergoing treatment at DHMC. Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 is joining efforts with many others in the community to raise funds to help Alex and his family with expenses through this trying time.

Photo provided SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Alex Naccarato, a senior at Springfield High School, turned 18 today. He is bravely fighting a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and undergoing treatment at DHMC. Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 is joining efforts with many others in the community to raise funds to help Alex and his family with expenses through this trying time. The community is asked to join the Elks in this effort on Saturday, March 25, starting at 5 – 7 p.m. at 49 Park Street, in the Elks’ banquet hall for a spaghetti dinner fundraiser. They will be offering a variety of pastas, as the Springfield HS staff/teachers are very committed to helping with this fundraiser. They are helping the Elks in this endeavor by putting out sign up sheets circulating around the High School for folks to sign up for donations of food, drinks and time to help with making and serving the dinner. Items to donate are like, cases of water, cases of juices or sodas, pastas/pasta dishes pre-made, sauce, meats, salads, dressings, breads and desserts. The cost for attendees to the dinner will be a monetary donation at the door. All donations will be forwarded to the Naccarato family to go towards expenses they are incurring for his treatment. If you cannot attend, you can send a donation to – Springfield Elks #1560, 49 Park St., Springfield, Vt. 05156 with a memo, ALEX. Anyone in the community, including Elks members, may donate to this cause by bringing donations to the Elks as they open at 3 p.m. each day. Anyone may call the Elks at 802-885-3100 if they want to sign up to work or inquire further about this event.
