Springfield Senior Center news

Starting Monday, April 17, the voting for the 2017 Senior of the Year will begin. Join us for the next two weeks from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to place your vote for who you think should be the 2017 Senior of the Year. Each member of the senior center will get one vote and we will celebrate our Senior of the Year on May 31 at a celebration.
Also Monday, April 17, Floor Yoga will be starting up at 10 a.m. and there will be a Game Day at 1 p.m. Chair Yoga will be starting at Tuesday, April 18, at 9 a.m.
The VNA will be here Tuesday, April 18, for the Foot Care Clinic. Appointments are necessary, please call today to schedule one.
Join us Wednesday, April 19, at 1 p.m. for Nickle Bingo with Roger Newhall and the celebration of April birthdays with Dale O’Brien.
On Thursday, April 20, the Knit Wits will be meeting in the Living Room at 1 p.m. Anyone is welcome to join at any time.
The Springfield Senior Center currently has two trips open and available for people to join us on. The first trip will be taking place on Thursday, May 18, and will be going to the Ogunquit Playhouse to see “Mamma Mia!” Lunch at Mike’s Clam Shack is included in the price as well as a stop at When Pigs Fly. The cost is $143 for Active members and $155 for Non-Active Members.
The second trip that is available for people to sign up for is to go and see The Bobby Darling Show. Get ready to laugh yourself silly with the Springfield Roadrunners as we travel down to the HukeLau in Chicopee, Massachusetts on Tuesday, Aug. 15, to enjoy The Bobby Darling Show and a TWIN LOBSTER MEAL (prime rib for us Land Lubbers). This show is a wonderful mix of music and comedy- everyone is sure to enjoy their time! Price of Trip: ACTIVE MEMBERS: $89.95 per person. Price of Trip: NON-ACTIVE MEMBERS: $101.95 per person.
