2017-07-24 / Local Springfield park project among grant funding recipients SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — All-4-One in Springfield, Vermont has been awarded $2,054 for the Springfield Community Park Project, a partnership with the Springfield Park and Recreation Department. The grant will help furnish the Springfield park area with picnic tables, trash barrels, and barbeque grills. The grant part of $11,598 awarded in small grants to a number of Upper Valley organization by the Vermont Community Foundation, a family of hundreds of funds and foundations established by Vermonters to serve their charitable goals. “The Small and Inspiring grants program is an opportunity for small projects to make a large impact in Vermont communities,” said Dan Smith, president and CEO of the foundation. “We are deeply committed to funding projects that connect people and help create positive interactions.” The Two Rivers Supervisory Union was awarded $1,000 to employ young women of Windsor Youth Services to landscape a park next to the Cavendish Town Elementary School. Other grantees include Brookfield Community Partners, who received $2,500 for Family Fun Days at the Brookfield Old Town Hall, Vermont Works for Women, who received $2,500 to bring Rosie’s Girls Build Camp to Randolph, West Fairlee Center Church who received $1,044 for a summer concert series, and White River Partnership, who received $2,500 for the Rikert River Access Area Stewardship Project.
