Big Woods Voices will perform Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the Springfield Community Players Studio in Springfield, Vermont. SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Join the Springfield Community Players in welcoming Big Woods Voices at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at the Springfield Community Players Studio, 165 South St., in Springfield. Big Woods Voices is pure a cappella, and is comprised of four local veteran singers who have come together to form a truly unique vocal sound right here in Vermont. The Voices consist of Alan Blood, Will Danforth, Becky Graber, and Amanda Witman, all local area performers. Each artist is incredibly talented and comes from a long line of professional experiences right here in our backyard. Big Woods Voices got its start when Will Danforth began a creative transition from his roots-oriented background to that of a composer. He married his love for both American roots music and for the world music traditions sung by Vermont-based Village Harmony and The River Singers to form an original sound for the group. Accordingly, many different vocal styles are referenced in their performances via lyrical settings of poetry, diverse roots music, engaging covers and original compositions. More information about Big Woods Voices can be found at their website, www.bigwoodsvoices.com. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors/students. You may also reserve tickets in advanced by calling the Springfield Community Players Studio at (802) 885-4098 or by visiting their website: www.springfieldcommunityplayers.org.
