As part of a collaborative effort, the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce today rolled out three short promotional videos highlighting Opportunities in Springfield for use as paid advertising spots on YouTube and social media.
The intent of these videos (created by local small business Indelible Inc.) is to emphasize our fastest-in-the-country high-speed fiber internet and attract the attention of businesses, entrepreneurs, and families who might be interested to live and work in Springfield. These paid ads will be tightly targeted towards age-appropriate specific audiences, with links to web landing pages providing more information about the incredible growth opportunities in our region.
This marketing effort ties into the larger revitalization projects that are currently under way in Springfield, and we would love your help: please keep an eye out for these videos, Like them and Share them, and post positive comments, so that we can maximize our exposure to potentially interested parties! Thank you!

THAT'S what should be done with the Woolson block; create high-tech office space, NOT more low-income housing! If Springfield wants to move into the future, it must abandon failed ideas from the past!

ReplyDeleteWow now that's false news
ReplyDeleteWell, time to drop "the big one." One benefit of moving to Springfield, one guaranteed to spark controversy, is this: Based on climate studies that I did 20 years ago, Springfield and the surrounding area will see THE LEAST amount of negative impact from climate change. This has been confirmed by all the data since. In fact, the changes here are all positive. Both winters AND summers will be warmer, and there will be more snow for better skiing. Here, we're getting milder winters, and nicer summers. If you look everywhere else, the weather is getting worse! That should be a major selling point. And now, let the climate-deniers and tree-huggers battle it out!
ReplyDeleteWHOA!!! Massive violation of protocol here, 10:45!!! If you are commenting as "Anonymous," you have to use a bitter, vindictive, defeatist tone.
ReplyDeleteGreat comment, and spot on! Knowing what you have told us, we should plan to deal with the invasion of the superrich as they make plans to establish their own version of Galt's Gulch in what used to be the world-famous Precision Valley. If we don't do that, we'll just be their peasant servants.
I doubt THAT will happen; the super rich either don't believe in science, or think they can control the weather!
DeleteUm, sorry, but there's already one Mormon entrepreneur buying up land around Royalton to build Vermont's fourth-largest town-- 20,000 people.
DeleteThe average income of the top 400 households is north of $434.3 million. Their effective tax rate of 18% leaves them with $356 million to play around with(Ted Turner's land holdings alone are equal in size to Delaware. How much of Springfield's grand list could one family's $356 million buy? Half of the privately held non-commercial properties; almost 60% with the tax break Trump just bragged about delivering to them. When you have a few million to play around with, you can afford to be quite casual about how it goes.
As the man said, "To turn $100 into $110 is hard work. To turn $100 million into $110 million is inevitable." The next Martin Shkreli is out there just waiting for his turn with us.
Well, I WAS joking, but hey, this town IS always looking for investors. See what happens when you don't do things yourselves? Don't worry, I'm sure the consultants will figure it out.... unless they're Mormons! (insert creepy music.)
DeleteWe really have to learn how to stop being prostitutes when Big Money comes around.
DeleteOh ya the consultants will figure it out all right. They will present ANOTHER big report to town management. And also present a bigger invoice. Rigged. But we are catching on. Unfortunately still lying there, being stepped on, with no idea of how to fix the problem.
