The Springfield Rotary Club in Vermont held its annual "4-Way Speech Contest" this week. Springfield High School sophomore Ethan Bertone, front center, was the winner of the $100 first prize and will represent the Springfield Rotary Club at the District Semifinals on May 6 in Henniker, N.H.
The Springfield High junior Connor Starr, front left, won $75 for second place and sophomore Ariel Day, front right, was the third place recipient of $25. Rotarians Bob Flint and Jim Fog flank Springfield High's Mike Janiszyn, who helped organize this year's event. Participants were required to articulate how the "4-Way Test" of Rotary applies to situations in their current lives.
