World-renowned children’s author, Vermont resident, and frequent VHC presenter Katherine Paterson will speak next month in Springfield about her work including her book, Bread and Roses, Too, the Vermont Reads book for 2018.
The novel of historical fiction tells the story of the 1912 “Bread and Roses” strike in the Lawrence, Massachusetts textile mills through the eyes of an Italian-American girl and a runaway boy.
Paterson will give the talk at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Springfield High School.
