Upcycle Springfield auction

Springfield On the Move (SOM) is excited to present its second live auction on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. at the Hartness House. Auctioneer John Hall, AEA, will auction repurposed, refurbished, and re-imagined items by local crafters.

A selection of these items can be seen in a Wilson Block window on the corner of Main and Park streets and in the former Springfield Bakery at 5-7 Main Street in downtown Springfield.

In addition, original art, a Boston condo vacation, and many more donated items will be on the block. Themed gift baskets, each with a minimum value of $75, will be raffled off to lucky winners.

People’s Bank leads the way of community support as a Platinum Sponsor of this event. As of October 5, Gold Sponsors include HB Energy Solutions, Walter Martone, Mascoma Savings Bank, One Credit Union, and Von Bargen’s Jewelry. Bibens Ace Hardware, Black River Produce, Gurney Brothers Construction, Springfield Housing Authority, and Vermont Packinghouse have joined in as Silver Sponsors. Bronze sponsors are Claremont Savings Bank, Graham and Graham PC, Lawrence and Wheeler Insurance, Muse and Associates Real Estate, and Springfield Reporter.

Upcycle Springfield II proceeds will go toward downtown improvement as our town begins many exciting projects.

Admission is free. Cash bar will be available.

To learn more about this SOM fundraising event, please contact Corky Bond (crafters) at 885-5622 or Mary Perry (sponsors) at 886-2694.
