Fire at local mobile home park

A fire broke out before dawn in the Windy Hill Acres mobile home park in Springfield requiring a 2nd alarm response.

Extra tankers had to be called in. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading beyond the one home that was destroyed by the fire.

The park has 74 lots and is located on Town Farm Road which is off Weathersfield Center Road and near Crown Point Country Club.
