The family of Kelly Prouty Robarge, 42, have not heard from her since she was last seen at her home off Route 12 near the Claremont city line late Thursday morning, and authorities plan to continue searching for her throughout the week, a joint news release from the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office and State Police said. “We have more and more concern that perhaps she is deceased,” Senior Assistant Attorney General Susan Morrell told WMUR-TV yesterday. Authorities have called Robarge’s disappearance “suspicious” and fear she had “suffered serious physical injury or death,” and said in the release yesterday that “she has had no communication with family and friends” since Thursday, when searches began. “The search teams have covered the property at 124 Happy Acres Road in Charlestown, along with other areas of Charlestown, Claremont and Unity. The searches have included rural wooded areas, areas along roadways, in addition to ponds and waterways. Searches have also been ongoing in the border towns of Vermont and along the Connecticut River,” the news release said. Robarge graduated from Fall Mountain Regional High School in 1989, and her Facebook page said she began working for Springfield (Vt). Orthodontics in 2005. She has two daughters and a young grandson, the Keene Sentinel reported. Her daughter, Gabrielle Robarge, has organized a candlelight vigil to be held near her mother’s home tonight. Yesterday around 3 p.m., a Charlestown police officer was parked outside Robarge’s two-story home, which is covered in Tyvek sheeting from an uncompleted construction project and sits at the end of the unpaved Happy Acres Road. Kelly Robarge filed for divorce from her husband, James, Thursday before she was reported missing, citing irreconcilable differences, according to records in 5th Circuit Court Family Division in Claremont, the Sentinel reported. A Charlestown neighbor, Ernie Haskell, said he had met the Robarges a couple of times. “I just feel so bad right now for her two girls and their whole family,” Haskell said. “Not knowing where their mother is, my God. It’s an absolute tragedy.” Haskell said Kelly Robarge is “very nice, very pleasant. She seemed educated and well-spoken,” he said. “They were very quiet, and kept to themselves.” He said two helicopters searched the wooded area over the weekend, and that there is a large pond near the Robarge home. Another neighbor, Susan Murdoch, said police had been stationed at the Charlestown home throughout the weekend. The candlelight vigil at 6 tonight, planned for Happy Acres Road, is intended to “light the way home” for the missing woman, according to her daughter. Authorities said police “have received numerous tips, but are requesting the continued assistance of the public” in finding Robarge.
