The soon-to-be retiring Springfield town manager has filed paperwork to run as a Democrat for the open Windsor 3-2 seat in the Vermont House.

  2. This is what happens when you go from "do nothing" to "nothing to do".

Many of us were very charitable with our comments when Mr. Forguites announced his retirement, preferring to let him fade away with dignity. But now he has opened the door to and placed the welcome mat out for feedback that is highly critical of his feeble leadership over the town of Springfield for nearly two decades - all of which is on daily display with drug issues, shootings and public safety issues, an appallingly poor economy, failing infrastructure, and disgustingly high taxes. Damned if Vermont needs the likes of Mr. Forguites offering his "legislative services" to its people.

You are so right. Charitable comments seem to have been taken seriously. This has to be a joke.

  3. I think anyone wondering if he would make a good representative can look at the condition of this community and it's downtown.
