  1. The select board seems to have handled the dispute fairly. There needs to be more folks in town like Chuck Gregory. So what if he sleeps in a yurt over the town line, he is doing more for Springfield than many others. Kudos to him!

This really wasn't about residency, this was about a disagreement as to whether the Town should be actively planning to improve its neighborhoods. This was a Libertarians vs Progressives fight. Notably the move to purge Gregory was led by two former Machine Shop employees. Its a difficult thing sometimes to confront the future.

  3. It's his way of thinking that promotes what we have in Springfield. Welfare office, halfway house's etc. We're drownding with them. He argues it for the good of those who need them , but the rest of us know it's all about making money for the likes of Wendi Germaine and Will Hunter. Go away Chuck!

    1. I don't know about anyone else, but I am not "drownding."

    2. Ignore them all Chuck and give them all something to talk about.

  4. Mr. Gregory appears to be a populist and humanist who speaks his mind and signs his name, both here and elsewhere. And rides a 'laying down' bike, for shame.

  5. Why do people attempt to "shame" a fellow brother or sister who invests his/her time to better the community? People are so sour.......His heart is in the right place unlike most people in this town. How are you investing in Springfield? How are you contributing?

    1. Well I contribute by lacing up a good pair of boots between 5 and 6am and commuting anywhere from thirty minutes to and hour and a half. This is done so that I can pay nearly $100 a week in property taxes. To come up with that $100 means I need gross earnings of about $130 before taxes or $3.25 an hour. I commend those that volunteer time and effort to be on boards and committees. I'd like to be able to contribute in that regard but it would mean staying up way past my bedtime. Now if I could only land one of those jobs that involves strolling around Main St. in my P.J.'s hmmm. Nope looks like most of those openings are filled.

  6. 3:19 pm go out and find ten or so people, who aren't cronies of Chuck's who pay property taxes in the "land of opportunity" SPRINGFIELD and see if they are living high off the hog or" drowning " ! GOOD LUCK .

In the effort to staff the planning commission I contend the bar has been lowered too far. As such, respectable property owners, successful business and commercial real estate owners like myself are reluctant to see our efforts nullified by fools.

Indeed, Ms. Thompson, and yet all you seem to deliver is sushi.
