GIRLS BASKETBALL Fair Haven 51, Springfield 24
SPRINGFIELD — Lexi Quenneville had 14 of her game-high 24 points in the first period as the Slaters got out to an 18-4 start and improved to 11-4.
Adriana Dalto (five points) hit the first of several treys in the first period and that lured the 4-11 Cosmos out of their defense.
Fair Haven extended its lead to 29-13 at the break. Kelsi Bean added nine points for the Slaters, who will host a Hartford team on Thursday that upset Mill River in North Clarendon on Tuesday night.
