SPRINGFIELD — At approximately 9:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 7, Springfield Dispatch received multiple calls about a single-car rollover accident on Chester Road in the area of the Church of Christ. Springfield Police found that Travis Tyrrell, 18, of Chester lost control of his 2015 Ford F150 and hit the ditch just west of the Church of Christ, causing the vehicle to become airborne and rolling over upon re-contact with the ground, and coming to a final rest back on its wheels. Tyrrell and his passenger, a 20-year-old man, were transported to Springfield Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Neither operator nor passenger were wearing seatbelts. Anyone who may have any additional information regarding this accident is asked to contact Officer Steven Neily at (802) 885-2113.
Not wearing seat belts? I don't know about Ford trucks, but would there not be that annoying ding to remind you to buckle up. Or do they play the music so loud they don't here the warning sound. Music or whatever you call it. Just young and dumb.
