Just because the Springfield senior's familiar No. 10 jersey is not being seen on the court does not mean Cosmos supporters have forgotten him. The Springfield Booster Club is selling tickets at home sporting events to help Naccarato and his family with medical expenses. Tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six and are being sold at the events or you can contact the booster club. There are several items available to win which include heating fuel, restaurant gift certificates, a tablet, a drone with a camera and several other items. they are being sold at Springfield or people can contact the. Not everyone who wants to help out is from Springfield. Wendy (Farrell) Walker, a local artist from Windsor, wanted to help the cause after hearing about Naccarato. Walker battled Hodgkin's in the early 1990s and again in the late 1990s and has been cancer free for 20 years now, according to her sister, Penny Willey of Springfield. Walker is donating a print of a painting that will be on canvas. Dave Putnam, owner of Claremont Custom Framing waived his fee to professionally copy Walker's work for the fundraiser. The winning tickets will be drawn on Friday, Feb. 17 during the varsity boys basketball game against Bellows Falls at Riverside Middle School. Winners do not have to be present to win. Proceeds from the game will also be gifted to Naccarato and his family.
