Dance trainers urgently needed for Apple Blossom Cotillion October 5, 2017 REGION – If you can teach high school students how to dance, Apple Blossom Cotillion needs you. dance 2017 Apple Blossom contestants at rehearsal. Photo provided. For 61 years, high school senior girls and their escorts have presented themselves and danced to the music of the Cotillion, which is a fundraiser for Springfield Hospital. Its storied history will end unless volunteer choreographers are found. Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons from January through April, with evening rehearsals the first week of May and two performances on the first weekend in May. All take place at Riverside gymnasium in Springfield.
