In this rendition of “Nunsensations,” the Springfield Community Players has brought back four local talents to reprise their roles. The cast is made up of Kay Burge as Mother Superior, Cindy Hughes as Sister Hubert, Deb Robling as Sister Robert Anne, Pam Shaughnessy as Sister Amnesia and newcomer, Samantha Holmberg as Sister Leo. “Nunsensations,” takes you on a silly journey to a club in Las Vegas, where the sisters have convinced Mother Superior to perform, following a generous offer from a parishioner. If the sisters agree to perform at “The Pump Room” at the Mystique Motor Lodge in Las Vegas, they will receive a $10,000 donation to the school. In this lovely tale of “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”, the sisters get a taste of “show-biz” like never before. Audiences will meet Sin-City Sue, find out who’s Black and White with Her Money on Red, and try to win a new car with the “Holy Rollers Giant Slot Machine.” What sort of hijinks will these nuns get into? And will they “take the money and run?”
