Limited edition white Christmas

A brief early Sunday morning snowfall brought villagers of North Springfield the magic of a white Christmas while most all of the rest of Springfield got left out in the cold with just another day of bare dry ground.

But the thin North Springfield snow cover began to disappear early afternoon, although certainly not from warming, temperatures never got above freezing all day and the sun remained blocked behind clouds. It seems the cold but nearly calm afternoon breezes were enough to just evaporate away the scanty layer of flakes in all but the most sheltered spots.

  1. It snowed on Skitchewaug Trail, we got about a half an inch or more. Then again we get snow when the town gets rain. We are used to it up on the hill. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
