News Golf Tournament Helps Springfield Hospital Posted on 10/20/2014 Congratulations to the 2014 Springfield Hospital Golf Challenge winning team, Tim Reynolds, Rick Marasa, Fred Koledo and Rich Lane. The 14th annual Springfield Hospital Challenge at Okemo Valley Golf Club on Thursday, September 18 was a top-notch golf outing and a successful fundraiser. This year’s tournament contributed to the hospital’s Emergency Room renovation project. 29 foursomes of golfers competed for team and individual awards and raffle prizes. 30 sponsoring organizations underwrote the tournament, which included a box lunch, dinner buffet, complimentary refreshments on the course, and gifts to every golfer of a golf towel modeled on this year’s Masters Tournament and a golf hat. Tournament sponsors were Black River Produce, Griffin Construction, Hackett Valine & MacDonald, IPG Employee Benefit Specialists, Kinney Drugs Foundation, Lawrence & Lober Electric, Richard Marasa MD, and Springfield Printing Corporation. Club professional, Michael Santa Maria, and the excellent Okemo staff took very good care of the golfers and helped make the event an overall success.
