Great job Elliot. Wonderful film.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, very nice
ReplyDeleteA Very impressive piece!!!..Great job, Elliot...Keep the positive coming because there IS a lot of positive in this town that people do not see...Thank you for your efforts!
ReplyDeleteOK I am going to keep it 100% real. It was a good video edit job. Nothing substantial or earth shattering. Working in the film industry currently we see middle school and high school films like this a lot. It really isn't something on the level of Spielberg or Tarantino. Having lived in Springfield I think it is a good piece for the town given the problems and community downfall that has ensued. I am not being harsh or negative but realistic which is what my industry is about. It is tough. I would encourage this young person to FIRST and foremost don't give up his dream if that dream is film. If at all possible get out of Springfield and into a system that will foster creativity and talent. Look at schools with active and substantial film programs to teach and push your boundaries and limits.
ReplyDeleteSo far as the piece presented. Again, amateur. A typical small town school project with standard video editing program. What I see is a lot of public servants who rely on public tax money to survive and get paid. Like I said. I lived in springfield once and best thing I ever did was leave. My last project...was Blended with Adam Sandler so I did well for myself. A message to the young man. Be very cautious of becoming or being attached to public systems that may exploit your talent and creativity to foster their own agenda. That happens a lot in this industry and you don't want to be known for that because you may find it diminishes your opportunities.
Well 10:42 ain't you somethin. Go "keep it real" somewhere else. Good job guys
DeleteI thought I remembered hearing that Elliot and another RVTC student won the U.S. Skills contest in videography, isn't Ken Burns studio just across the river? Why the negativity?
DeleteI really enjoyed the video and am impressed with the work presented. It was interesting to see what was said and by whom and liked that it was a positive upbeat piece about our town. Nice Job!
ReplyDeleteGreat job by a talented young man
