Bellows Falls 42, Springfield 7
WESTMINSTER — The lights came on for Bellows falls and wet out on Springfield.
The Terriers celebrated their first ever home night game with a 42-0 first half and improved to 6-2.
They scored the first two times they touched the ball and when it was done Carson Fullam, Austin Stack and quarterback Ethan Illingworth all had big nights.
Stack scored on an 8-yard pitch and a 23-yard run in the first period and the it was Fullam’s turn.
The BF back, who had more than 150 yards by halftime, scored on an 80-yard run.
Illingworth threw a 40-yard scoring pass to Brian McAnuff and hooked up with him again on a 22-yard TD play.
Illingworth, playing before a huge throng, got into the end zone himself with a 1-yard run.
With the clock running in the second half and BF using its bench, the Cosmos (1-6) broke up the shutout with an 11-yard run by Josh Rivers.
