Springfield Vermont
On July 2, 2015 Officers observed Bension allegedly carrying a 12 pack of beer down Union Street. Benson has current conditions of release prohibiting her from possessing alcohol.
Benson was issued a citation to appear in Windham County Criminal Court on 7-6-2015





Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicating
Liquor or Other Substance
Shawn Snide
AGE: 43
Chester, Vermont
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 02/15/205 at approximately 2240 hours, Springfield officers responded to the area of Route 11 trail head. 
Callers advised that there was a truck off the road. Upon arrival the operator Shawn Snide, allegedly claimed that he was drunk. 
Standard Field Sobriety Tests were performed and Shawn Snide was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.
Snide was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 07/21/2015

VCOR [Violation Conditions of Release]
Valerie Ovitt
AGE: 46
Charlestown, New Hampshire
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Officers responded to a residence to assist the ambulance with a subject refusing medical treatment and refusing to leave the residence per renters request. 
Upon arrival, officers found that Ovitt was on conditions of release of which they stated she was not allowed to consume alcohol and she must submit to alcohol testing upon request of an LEO. 
Officers allegedly detected the odor of intoxicants on Ovitt and when she was requested to take a alcohol test she allegedly refused.
Ovitt was arraigned in court on Windsor County Criminal Court on 07-07-2015

AGE: 43
Springfield Vermont
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On June 24th, 2015 Michelle Bibens allegedly entered the Jeny Wren Café and removed the cash from the tip basket. When Bibens was located Bibens allegedly lied to Police about being in the café or even being in the area.
Bibens is cited to appear on 8-18-2015 in Windsor County Criminal Court.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Upon stopping the defendant for a motor vehicle violation it was found that he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He was processed, cited and released.
Graham was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 7/21/15 at 8 am.

Wood failed to appear for arraignment to answer to the charge of Unlawful Trespass. Wood was lodged at SSCF in lieu of $500 bail.

Martin failed to appear for arraignment to answer to the charge of Unlawful Trespass. Martin was lodged at SSCF in lieu of $500 bail.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On June 22, 2015 Officers were dispatched to Union Street for the report of a possibly suicidal subject. Upon arrival it was determined that a female subject had arrived at her ex boyfriends residence after allegedly being told not to show up. She allegedly threatened suicide while holding a knife to herself. After he told her to leave, the subject allegedly went to a window and the argument continued. During a disagreement at the window, the female subject allegedly punched the male subject in the head.
Loring was lodged at SSCF on $1000 cash or surety and cited to appear in Windsor County Superior Court Criminal Division on June 23, 2015.

Christopher Holley
AGE: 53
CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Chester, Vermont
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 06/05/2015 at approximately 18:50 hours the Springfield Police Department received a call about an alleged intoxicated subject leaving Joe's Discount Beverage. 
Officers located the subject, who was identified as Christopher Holley, on Union Street. Holley was arrested for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Holley was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Superior Court Criminal Division on June 16, 2015





May 21, 2015
2030 Hours
Retail Theft
Sean Lowden
AGE: 28
Springfield VT
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On April 14, 2015 at approximately 0307 hours a man wearing a grey Orlando sweatshirt, allegedly stole a 30 pack of Bud Light from the Circle K Truck Stop. The subject allegedly grabbed the 30 pack and ran out the front door. A person in the store witnessed the alleged crime and called the police. The alleged thief was later identified as Sean Lowden.
A Citation to appear was issued for Windsor County Criminal Court on July 21, 2015

  2. My name is Edwin Wells and I am commenting to ask that my name be removed. All charges against me have been dismissed and my accuser is now under criminal investigation in Vermont and New York for filing false complaints. Thank you.
