Behind the Scenes at Green Horn Live Published 10/23 2015 06:41AMUpdated 10/23 2015 06:41AM SPRINGFIELD, Vt The journalism students at Springfield High School gave Local 22 & Local 44 News This Morning a behind the scenes look at Green Horn Live. Green Horn Live is a student-run newscast that airs live every Friday morning in Springfield High classrooms and throughout the community via SAPA-TV (Springfield-Area Public Access). "It's not just your regular sitdown class." said senior sports anchor Matt Power. "It's something that's hands on and we learn as we continue." Local 22 & Local 44 cameras were there as the students produced the October 12th newscast. The top story that morning was about a Donald Trump rally in Keene, NH covered by four of the student-journalists. "We were taking pictures of the crowd." said senior news anchor Lilly Moore. "We got an interview with a protestor who got kicked out for causing a disruption at one of Trump's previous rallies." "We really go all over the place just trying to hit what students and the community are going to be interested in." said senior news anchor Ryan Cooney. "I feel like it's just such a great experience." said Moore. "I would encourage anyone at my school to do it. And if there's a journalism class anywhere else at any other high school, I would encourage them to do it as well."
