GIRLS TENNIS Springfield 4, Otter Valley 3
SPRINGFIELD — The Cosmos won the first three singles and edged the Otters for the first victory of the year.
In singles: Springfield’s Alex Fauver defeated Brigid Enright 6-3, 6-1; Springfield’s Kate Worth beat Jonna Keith 6-3, 6-1; Springfield’s Ali Woster topped Sophie Wood 6-2, 5-7, (10-5); OV’s Ghislane Robin beat Jen Anders 6-4, 6-3; and the Otters’ Maddie Fuller won by forfeit.
In doubles, Springfield’s Heather Morse and Candace Hadwith beat Haley Gearwar and Shana Houle 7-6, 6-4, and the Otters’ Brittany Danforth and Brenna McCallough beat Kayla Johnson and Josey McNight 4-6, 7-5 (10-5).
Springfield is 1-3 and OV 1-4.
