Unified Basketball Springfield 42, Mill River 35 Springfield began its inaugural season losing two close games. Thursday marked the team's first ever home game and the Cosmos earned their first win in team history. "It was nice to get the win because the school was really behind them," Springfield coach Marc Thomas. In his first game with the team, Kenny Skinner led the way for the Cosmos with 16 points. Lance Robinson scored eight, Cam Colon had six, Falisha Maly scored four (her first career points), Miranda Gould scored her first career points as well with two, and Natalie Corliss and Jade Craft also had two points in the win. Gavin Glidden recorded seven rebounds for Springfield and Becca White played tenacious defense and rebounded well. Springfield will look to win its second in a row Monday, April 25 at Brattleboro at 4:30.
