WESTMINSTER — DJ Snide won three events to lead the Bellows Falls boys track and field team to victory at home in a multi-team meet Thursday. Snide sped to victory in the 100 and 200 with times of 11.5 and 23.94 seconds, respectively. He also captured the 110 hurdles with a time of 18.01 seconds. Four other Terriers chalked up wins as well. Sawyer Reis won the 400 in 56.89 seconds. In field events, Shane Clark threw 124-6 to win the javelin, Chris McKeen cleared nine feet even to capture the pole vault and R. Tuttle took the discus with a toss of 100-4. The Terriers won the seven-team meet with 230 points. Stevens was second with 89, followed by Newport (44), Springfield (36), Fall Mountain (32), Twin Valley (18) and Sharon (4). Stevens was led by Ethan Sweet's double triumph in jumping events. He landed 17-5 1/3 in the long jump and soared 37-6 ½ in the triple jump. Logan Bonneau won the 3000 with a time of 11:21 and Parker Smith was victorious in the high jump, clearing 5-6. The Cardinals also won the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. Springfield's B. Singleton won the shot put with a heave of 36-2. Fall Mountain's Jacob Andrzejczyk won the 800 in 2:17.98. Runners-up were Stevens' Matt Gobin in the 110 hurdles and 100, Clark in the long jump, BF's Nathan Fairbrother in the triple jump and discus, Tuttle in the shot put, Stevens' Michael Miller in the 3000, Snide in the javelin, Newport's Dylan Palmer in the 400, BF's Caleb Lisai in the 300 hurdles, FM's Matt Manwaring in the 800, BF's C. Smith in the 200, and Newport in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. Third-place showings went to McKeen in the 110 hurdles, FM's Patrick Moody in the 100, Springfield's Elijah Pianka in the high jump, Stevens' Diego Cubillo in the long jump, Springfield's Chris Gurney in the 400, Newport's E. Ritondo in the 300 hurdles, BF's Cody Tallent in the 800, Gobin in the 200, Clark in the triple jump, BF's T. Bacon in the shot put, Stevens' Jacob Rider in the 3000, BF's N. Tarkit in the discus, Tuttle in the javelin, Springfiedld in the 4x100 relay and Bellows falls in the 4x400 relay. Results for the girls meet were incomplete, but the Lady Terriers did have a sizable lead at the midway point, with Stevens in second, Springfield third, Newport fourth and Fall Mountain fifth. Following are the individual results which were received. Bellows Falls' Megan Banik won the 800 (2:51.83) and 1500 (5:47) and teammate Michelle Marchica took the long jump (13-5 ½) and 300 hurdles (57.33). The Terriers also won the 4x100 relay with a time of 57.82 seconds. Stevens' Aly Lizotte won the 100 (13.58), 200 (29.09) and 400 (1:05.08). Springfield's Samantha Metcalfe captured the high jump (no height available). In second place were BF's Reaghan Baldasaro in the 800, Fallon Vancor in the 1500 and Jasmine Boucher in the 200 and 400, Springfield's K. Peoples in the long jump, and Stevens' Olivia Barcelou in the 300 hurdles and the Cardinals' 4x100 relay team. Placing third were Stevens' Josie Lafreniere in the 1500 and Jaz Griffin in the 200, BF's Dani Marchica in the long jump, Baldasaro in the 400 and Vancor in the 800, and the Newport 4x100 relay.
