Summer family scavenger hunt at the EdgarMay
This summer the Edgar May Health and Recreation Center is launching the first annual Summer Family Fun Scavenger Hunt. The scavenger hunt is open to member and non-member families. Beginning on Friday, July 1 and concluding on Friday, Aug. 26, there are eight weeks to participate in your choice of more than 30 activities and share photos on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) or via email.
There is no cost to enter the EdgarMay Scavenger Hunt. Families that participate for the eight-week duration of the promotion, accumulating 100 or more points, will be eligible for an entry in the grand prize drawing for a 12-month family membership package that includes additional services (12 months of group fitness and exercise classes, four sessions of swimming lessons, birthday party package) to the Edgar May Health and Recreation Center (total value of $1,600).
In addition to the grand prize, there will also be two monthly drawings, one at the end of July and the other at the end of August, for one-month family memberships ($78 value) for all families that share photos of four completed activities during that month. Local businesses are also sponsoring specific activities with special prize drawings.
The full list of scavenger hunt activities, prizes, instructions, and registration forms are available at www.myreccenter.org or at the Member Services desk. Chances of winning any of the prizes depends on the number of participating families. Entries accepted through July 8.
