2017-06-09 / Sports 47th Annual Hackers Tournament set for July 13 SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce's 2017 Hackers Golf Tournament is in the works, and they've got big plans for a fantastic afternoon of golf, comradery, great food & drink, and prizes. All ability levels welcome. New this year, for those who have never played golf before (or just aren't any good), is a half-hour Beginners Class prior to the tournament with Crown Point's PGA Pro, Richard Vacca ($10 per person, 11:30 a.m. to noon). Have fun, brush up on your skills, and maybe learn a thing or two. Assemble your team, sign-up today and join in for a fun day on the fairway. The deadline for team sign-ups is Wednesday, July 5. The team sign-up form is available at http://springfieldvt.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=774a7cbeb338bf73bc066f9e5&id=e1e25faf8a&e=9ca900f4f4. The deadline for sponsorship forms is June 30. Sponsoring the tournament is a great way to gain exposure and recognition for your business, as well as support the chamber. They're still currently accepting sponsors for this year's event, and are grateful to the folks who help to make this long-standing tradition possible. If you're interested, check out the form and feel free to contact the chamber with any questions. They'd love to have you involved. The sponsorship form is available at http://springfieldvt.us8.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=774a7cbeb338bf73bc066f9e5&id=5404bbf3f2&e=9ca900f4f4. Tournament organizers are also looking for volunteers. If you're not interested in playing golf, but are still looking for an excuse to spend a gorgeous day outside, the chamber is always looking for volunteers to help run the event. Email springfieldrcoc@vermontel.net for more info about volunteer opportunities.
