Silent auction benefits RVTC student trip

DECA students enrolled in the Business & Financial Services program at River Valley Technical Center are getting ready for the 14th Annual DECA Silent Auction that will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 12.

The auction will be held in the atrium at River Valley Technical Center, 307 South St., in Springfield, Vermont.

The River Valley Café will be open from noon to 1 p.m.

All proceeds from the auction will assist students in attending the DECA International Career and Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, in April.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Area businesses have been graciously donating items and gift certificates making this an auction that should not be missed.

Donations received to date include a gift certificate from Bibens Ace, two movie passes from Springfield Cinemas 3, a family game night gift basket, a cord of firewood from RVTC Horticulture and Natural Resources, a houseplant, a car wash bucket and gift certificates to the RVTC Café.
