Business Spotlight: Black Rock Steakhouse May 20, 2018 Black Rock Steakhouse 284 River St. Springfield 802-885-2200 www.blackrocksteakhouse.com Black Rock Steakhouse, located at 284 River St. in Springfield, is a traditional steakhouse with a sizzling twist. Their lunch and dinner menus feature many classic dishes that you can cook right at your table. The lunch menu has unique items including specialty burgers made with 8 ounces of fresh ground round. Specials include the Best Friend Burger, inspired by two of their chefs and topped with roasted peppers, portabella mushroom, and Swiss cheese, or the Surf-n-Turf burger topped with fresh made lobster salad, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mozzarella cheese. While the dinner menu has some pub menu items, dinners feature more chicken, pasta, seafood, and the famous “From the Rock” menu. Their unique “From the Rock” menu features your choice of seafood, chicken, or steak, which is then served on hot volcanic rocks, brought right to your table. This allows you to cook each bite to your own perfection. Though these menu items have the option to be prepared in the kitchen instead, the choice to be served from the rock is a unique cooking and dining experience that’s entertaining, healthy, and delicious. If you’re looking for a brunch destination on a Sunday, Black Rock has you covered with their breakfast buffet, served from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, home fries, fresh fruit, an omelet station, juice, and more. If you prefer lunch, be sure to check out their Sunday lunch specials, served from noon to 4 p.m. or their Black Board lunch specials served 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. excluding holidays. Black Rock Steakhouse also has its truck sales on Wednesdays usually from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Truck sales include their own cuts of meat and seafood, as well as fresh produce. The truck is located outside the restaurant, and Black Rock hosts a weekly newsletter with their weekly truck sale items and prices. Truck sales are great. If you get a large piece of beef you will have to cut it yourself into serving sizes. Make sure to check the weight as their scale may not be inspected by the state.
ReplyDeleteI've asked and was shown the state inspection sticker on the scale. So the weight is good.
ReplyDeleteThanks, a while ago the scale was not quite running properly. Guess someone put to much weight on it so the label feature did not work. Got home and weighed my purchase and it was a little off. But I was satisfied.
