Fox hit Gary Burnett with 3:20 to go in the first quarter to put the Minutemen on the board. Mill River scored again before the quarter was over as Fox hit Tyler Shelvey from the 12 following an interception. In the second quarter, hard running back Josh Bishop took it in from the six. In other Friday night football action, North Country sailed past Milton 40-20, Mount Anthony edged Mount Abraham 36-32 to improve to 1-1, Mount Mansfield got its first win, 30-21 against BFA-St. Albans, and St. Johnsbury rolled past Essex 41-21. Also, Colchester got past Brattleboro 27-19 and Middlebury trimmed Hartford 27-14 in one of the marquee games of the weekend. Burr and Burton Academy exploded for a 62-16 victory over U-32.
