Apple Blossom Cotillion Tickets

The Apple Blossom Cotillion is the Springfield area’s largest single community event. Upwards of 1,500 people fill the Riverside gymnasium to see high school senior girls and their escorts sing, dance, and present themselves.

This year’s 54th annual Apple Blossom Cotillion promises to be another special evening of entertainment and excitement. The theme of this year’s production is “Summer Daze” and features songs from our summers, real and imagined.

In addition to the crowning of the 2010 Apple Blossom Queen and her court, the evening will include the ever-popular performances by the elementary school children, the “future Cotillionaires”.

Photographs of the 19 couples participating this year are on display in a store window on Valley Street in Springfield. Also displayed are a collection of gowns from past Cotillions. This display plus more than 40 portraits of past queens and additional gowns, including some worn by the children, will move to Riverside gymnasium as part of the “Memory Lane” exhibit that accompanies the Cotillion performances.

Tickets for the crowning of the queen on Saturday, May 1 at 7:30 pm are available at Tina’s Hallmark Shop in the Springfield Plaza, and the Gift Shop in the hospital lobby. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Tickets for the Friday April 30 performance (without the judging) are $10 at the door.

All proceeds from the Cotillion are used for college scholarships for health care careers. For information, contact Larry Kraft, Foundation Director, at 885-7644 or lkraft@springfieldmed.org . ###
