2018 River Valley Employment Fair

The River Valley Workforce Investment Board is hosting the 2018 River Valley Employment Fair on Wednesday, September 12th, from 2 - 5 pm at Riverside Middle School in Springfield Vermont. This event is free and open to the public!

After 50 years at Lovejoy Tool, Warren Garfield still loves his job
Warren Garfield started working at Lovejoy Tool Co. exactly 50 years ago Monday. He remembers it well, it was "6-6-66." And his family and friends at Lovejoy celebrated his loyalty and good work Monday with a reception and heartfelt tributes.

School board approves reduction of 14 staff members
The Springfield School District Board voted unanimously Monday night to reduce nearly six full-time positions due to budgetary cuts. Another 8 positions were reduced by retirements and staff resigning their positions for a total of 14 positions eliminated.
