All are welcome to join the Turning Point Recovery Center of Springfield in celebrating Recovery Awareness from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at Turning Point's Open House. This is a community event open to everyone and is family friendly.

Springfield girls soccer made the short trip down to Bellows Falls for the season opener for both clubs and returned happy after a 4-0 win on Saturday morning.

Man charged with selling fentanyl-laced heroin

A Putney resident who was out on pre-trial conditions while awaiting the resolution of kidnapping and extortion charges that were filed against him last year has now been charged with selling fentanyl-laced heroin to a police informant in Springfield back in May.
