Selectboard commits water to biomass project

The town selectboard in Springfield, Vt., has voted for an agreement to commit 30,000 of gallons of municipal water a day to a proposed biomass project.

Board agrees to negotiate water for woodchip plant

The Springfield Select Board voted 4-1 on Tuesday to enter into negotiations with the developer of the proposed wood-chip electric generating plant in North Springfield for water usage.

School Budget vote results

The school budget has been passed by a margin of more than 200 votes. 1,315 total votes were cast. The $27 million budget is a 2 percent decrease from the original budget that was voted down by only 31 votes on Town Meeting Day.
