Room at the inn: Warming Shelter offers safe haven for homeless

Governor Phil Scott was in Springfield's Cinema 3 movie theater on Wednesday to announce $3.5 million in federal community development block grant funds for eight projects all over the state, including $400,000 for Springfield.

Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, was an open house at the Spencer Hollow schoolhouse just off Route-143 in Springfield. Don Whitney who grew up in the neighborhood was there to greet visitors and tell the history of the school.

Crazed horse-jacking and carjacking attempts get Springfield woman held without bail

A Springfield woman who witnesses said tried to jump on a horse before flagging down a motorist and stabbing him in the neck with a shard of glass was ordered held without bail earlier this week.
